Act. Dean, Marbella International University Centre (MIUC)
Aurora Mateos is the MIUC Dean. She is an academic and international lawyer specializing in Science, Culture and Education, and has been working as a legal adviser for UNESCO for over ten years. She also was a Human Rights researcher for Seafarers’ Rights International of the International Transport Federation (ITF/SFR) in London for several years. She is also an attorney at Law and has been an international consultant since 2001. She has provided long-standing legal services to a broad range of public institutions at national and international level such as the Government of East-Timor (Presidency), International Oceanographic Commission, the International Water Institute, World Meteorological Organization, and the Chambers of Commerce of Málaga, Junta de Andalucía etc. She has published, among others, at the American Society of International Law, UNESCO publishing and Cambridge University Press. Her articles for the general public can be found in the newspapers El Mundo, El Imparcial, Diario Sur etc. She is a native Spanish speaker and fully fluent in English, French, Italian, Portuguese and is fairly fluent in Russian.
